We came home one Sunday morning to find a gosling making a racket in the garden. Donated by a mysterious Frenchman with a beard. Even now I have no idea who it was!

So fun! I can just see the whole frenetic scene! And the uoooff word? Perfect… You captured it all!
BTW, tell Jack I have a special present for him when I see him…

Goodness Jacqueline, I'm not sure which of the two I'm more intrigued by, the appearance of the gosling, or the Frenchman with a beard. One thing's certain though, living in France is full of surprises!

As you're beginning to realize Nancy, life here is not boring, sometimes strange, yes, but never dull.
H'm, I did mention to Jack that you had a special present for him when you see him. You might be able to guess his comment (man of rigid routine and habit) and it wasn't 'Uooooff'. On the other hand I'm very excited! 🙂
